The middle of the corridor is a frequent place where student stop and chat between classes.

Eva renowned for her distinct lack of patience and a temper so hot and quick to flare it was comparable to a book of matches ... a gasoline-soaked book of matches about to be thrown into the fireplace. She had been taking it easy lately, drawing in instead of lashing out with unhappiness, stress, social allergies, or whatever it was that drove her. She'd been quieter staying in the dungeons, near invisible in the halls, hadn't crossed the library threshold in weeks or so much as slammed another student against the wall, no matter how annoying she might find the mass of them (locking a i the girl's bathroom didn't count. She deserved it several times over). She'd been polite to her professors, tolerable to her housemates, and only a minor nuisance to the rest of the school. Even the fact that she was apparently catnip to the type of people who valued looks over her horribly sulky attitude, even the fact that some of those people were boy, hadn't riled her up too much.
But everyone knew it wouldnt last long for she was not a nice, kind, considerate girl. She hardly cared if people that didn't get out of her way got bowled over. She was getting to the common room and everyone else could (literally) shove off.

Despite the fact that she had already been here for a few days, Talia was still absolutely fascinated with the school. She was a little upset that she didn't have more time to explore, but when she did she was always very happy. So she decided to go ahead and explore some of the upper floors seeing as she had some free time. Truth be told she really loved heights, and she would have liked to have had her common room on a higher floor. Of course she couldn't have controlled that at all so she dealt with it.

Talia skipped along the fifth floor corridor with a big smile lighting up her face. Her eyes were wide with excitement. Even though to others the hall may not have been particularly interesting Talia liked it quite a bit. The intricate design of the windows was something she found amazing, and the view was nice as well. She stopped skipping and began to walk over to one of the large windows that lined one of the walls on the corridor, hardly noticing the older girl behind her. She looked out at the castle grounds, glad that she had decided to explore this floor, as she wondered what it would look like from even higher up, like the towers.

Eventually Talia turned around, figuring it would be nice to move on to a different floor, whens he finally noticed the older Slytherin girl. "Oh, hello." Talia said in a friendly tone. She was quite social and chatty, but she wasn't too sure she should really be bothering the girl. She had been told before by other people that she was a little annoying at times.

( sorry late reply)

Maybe it was just that no one had provoked her lately, because when a girl bummped her shoulder into hers she recovered quickly enough, snapping back around to snarl, "Watch it, little girl"

Eva's lip curled when the girl greeted her. She seemed like a first year, but she didn't go out of her way to get to know her dormmates, much less someone in another house.
"Well hello there.. are you lost?"Eva answered in a cold tone back. "Or do you enjoy just moving around greeting everyone..like a usless lump A sneer.

Five years, five minutes. It really didn't matter how long Eva had known of someone's existence. Chances were they'd get treated just the same. With typical disdain and scorn. They could be the loveliest people in the world wanting nothing but friends, hugs and love. She'd give them the same treatment as the class bully (a role she herself had been known to fill sometimes). No, it didn't matter on age, race, gender, looks or attitude.

Isabella was wandering down the corridor when she heard voices further down the corridor. She followed them to find two girls. She recognised Talia from her dorm but the other girl was a new face.
She looked cold and angry.

Isabella heard the last cold remarks: like a useless little lump...

Isabella wouldn't let that girl get away with such a remark about her friend.
"Hey! Dont say that!" shouted Isabella, protecting her tearful friend. "Dont be a mean freak!" Isabella turned round and hugged her friend.
"Are you okay?" asked Isabella.

Amethyst had been curious about This place ever since she got her letter in the mail. Her parents, being the hippies that they are, had no problems with her going to a school that taught about magic. This castle was huge and Amethyst planned on learning every nook and cranny of this place. The only problem was the fact that she kept getting lost.

As the young blonde made her way up the stairs, she couldn't remember where she was, she couldn't even figure out where she was. The staircase kept moving and eventually the girl stopped trying to figure out where she was and stayed where she was. Amethyst spun around slowly as she took in her surroundings like a lost puppy. Eventually she would figure out where she was, or someone else would come along and let her know.

Josina was on her way to the dungeons to visit the kitchen and get a snack. She'd missed lunch because she wouldn't put her book down, and now her stomach was growling something fierce.

Walking down the corridor to the staircase, she saw a younger girl with a blank look on her face. "Hello." she said, nearing the girl. "Are you alright? You look a bit lost..." She didn't really blame her if she was, she herself had taken about a year to discover half the castle...
