He heard the wails coming from the dungeons and appeared with a pop hanging upside down above one of the cauldrons one of the students were cleaning "MYYYYRTLLLLE" he called out. He flipped the right way up as he spotted the spinning cauldron. Cackling he zoomed towards it and hovered midair "Myrtle?" he asked and cackled again before looking around at all the students and the professor. "Ohhhhh cauldrons!" Could he play? He liked playing with cauldrons! He had a mischievous glint in his eyes and gave the most innocent smile he could muster.

While Josina was waiting for Prof. Petrov's comment on her work, Peeves the Poltergeist burst in the room, screaming with that awful voice of his for Myrtle.
Then she noticed the mischief in his eyes when he looked at the cauldrons.
Oh NO, she thought, Peeves was going to play with the cauldrons. She looked at Prof. Petrov, who was still working at her desk, and for some reason not paying attention. Josina wanted to use a hex on him, but she was too afraid of getting into trouble. She hoped Prof. Petrov would do something soon!

Watching the students work Katerina noticed some tension between the Slytherins, mainly Valen and Herron, and Valen and Malfoy, it seemed Valen was not able to get along with anyone right. Shaking her head she tore her gaze away from those students as PRanger came up with another cauldron, looking it over she nodded in approval. Good work Miss Pranger you may select another or consider yourself complete, since you were only required to scrub two each. She spoke calmly letting the girl know she could be dismissed or do additional work it was up to her, as she turned back to her work finishing one sheet and moving it behind the other she caught sight of another ghost entering the room. Not even a ghost, the Hogwarts Poltergeist Peeves, she usually put up with his antics because he was usually pulling pranks right along with her Slytherins, but today was not the day to challenger her she was in a bad mood and had no desire for it especially after Myrtle's dramatic fits. She looked over to see Myrtle still whining in her cauldron, obviously she had not figured out that no one could really hear her. Turning to meet Peeves gaze she noted him looking at the cauldrons piled on the table and the dirty ones in the corner and raised a hand in warning. Peeves you touch a single cauldron, and you will end up in the lake locked in one of them for a month, and Aleksander will not get you out of it, since he will not notice you're missing. She spoke sharply glaring at the poltergeist knowing he would know it was true, and figuring he would try to push his luck anyways, if he and Myrtle kept it up they might end up in one cauldron together endlessly floating through one another. Not the best bit of luck for them, but they had chosen the wrong professor to irritate.

Charles would have been horrified if he had realized that the Professor had heard his muttered comment. So he had no idea what he was in for he went up for inspection. As the Professor vanished his caldron, Charles looked on in horror. His face flushed with anger when the Professor asked him where it was. Charles responded coldly Well, I suppose it could have vanished because I did an excellent job. Charles then went angrily back to his seat, pushing Myrtle's caldron along the way.

And then another ghost floated in. Geez, this was the fun day with ghosts. This ghost was far less irritating though.Charles tried his hardest to avoid laughing as the ghost came in looking for the wailing ghost, and was secretly hoping he would throw a caldron at Petrovie.

Prof. Petrov told her that she could either do extra work or she could consider her work complete. "I'll do another one" she said to Prof. Petrov as politely as she could.
As Josina walked back to her spot with another one, she cringed when she heard Charles talk back to Prof. Petrov. Ohh, Charles, that's going to lose you points, she thought silently.

If there hadn’t been the distraction of yet another ghost bursting into their alcove, Ailis might have felt a bit overlooked, as Professor Petrov had taken the Gryffindor’s second cauldron before looking at hers. Except, she’d forgotten to actually step forward so the professor had known she was there, or to say anything. She’d even looked over as Charles had reacted rather badly to the vanishing of his cauldron, waiting to see if that was going to get even more venom from the professor. The only thing that stopped her from actually waiting was the knowledge that she had a cauldron in her arms and it wasn’t exactly light. Clean, but it was still heavy and she wasn’t very big.

Therefore, even as the professor had threatened Peeves with being locked up in the lake, she sidestepped the Ravenclaw boy’s angry retreat and set her cauldron on the table to be looked over. At least now she wasn’t carrying it, although she’d glanced back to see if her spot had been taken. The poltergeist barely got any notice at all, since she was more concerned with finding out if she could move on or if she had to scrub her cauldron some more. She hoped not.

Having had about enough of the boys bad attitude Katerina had no intention of his little muttering being let go as he went to walk off she called sharply. Ten points from Ravenclaw for your poor attitude and choice in tone while addressing me. Narrowing her eyes she watched him walk off to retrieve another cauldron to work on, these children needed to learn better manners or get hexed and honestly Katerina would have been fine with either one of those options. She nodded at Josina as she stated she was going to clean another cauldron and watched the girl move away as Ailis came up with her cauldron sliding it across the table towards her. Katerina tilted it on it's edge checking the bottom and insides fully before giving a curt nod and motioning toward the small pile of clean cauldrons accumulating in the corner. Place it over there Miss Quinn. She then turned back to her work dismissing the girl to collect and clean her second cauldron while she finished making her notes, Peeves was still behaving for the moment, but she was watching him warily despite this, in the event he tried to cause some sort of trouble or interrupt the activity further.

Ailis had blinked almost involuntarily as the result of Charles’ rudeness only was met with losing ten points. She hadn’t exactly known what she expected, but considering the reactions to the ghosts, she’d nearly expected something else. Detention, maybe. Either way, she wasn’t questioning it, especially as she’d turned back to see her cauldron being looked over and approved. She had responded to the direction with a nod, reaching out to reclaim the cauldron to bring it to the small pile of cleaned cauldrons, apparently mostly done by the Gryffindor girl. She wasn’t usually competitive, but she didn’t want to be shown up by a Gryffindor if she had something to prove. Especially not when she was proving it to her head of house.

Picking up another cauldron from the stack of ones that needed cleaning, she retrieved another small amount of soap before adding water and getting to scrubbing, back in her spot over near what now seemed like the Slytherin section of the alcove. At least, all but one was over there. The other was over by an older Hufflepuff girl, which only got a shrug from her. His choice, not that she’d technically chosen to be with the others from her house. That had just been how it ended up. Besides, she had a lot of scrubbing to do, apparently, as she got a better look at the cauldron she’d chosen. At least it meant one less to be messed with by Peeves, since she was still going by the theory that not paying attention to him meant she wouldn’t be noticed. Either that, or the other Slytherins would somehow protect her. House pride or whatever.

Edward was furiously scrubbing by the time Alexia got herself situation and replied to is questions, the ghosts were currently being muted ad all was well with the activity at the moment at least. As she mentioned wandering in he smiled, it was just like her to do that and he didn't really find it as odd as some people might having known her their entire time here, but he did think it was a bit cute. What he did not find amusing, was how her expression seemed to completely sink when she saw Alex, casting a glance over his shoulder he frowned and looked over at Alexia speaking quietly, Ignore Alex, she lives to intimidate people, especially those she feels threatened by, but there is nothing she can or will do while here under the eyes of a professor. He reached over and put his hand on hers for a moment smiling at her so that she understood he wouldn't let something happen to her as long as he was there. If there was only one thing in this world he was capable of doing it was defusing Alex, plus she had left him there was no reason for this kind of jealousy from her. He scrubbed his pot a few more minutes and determined it was clean enough to go up and lobby for a nod from professor Petrov. Leaning over he tapped Alexia to remove her from her scrubbing reverie. I'm going to run my cauldron up and when I come back you're going to tell me how everything has been since Halloween and what you've been up to, and you will not obsess about Alex being in this room. Okay? He met her gaze and waited for her to agree before he grabbed his cauldron and moved off taking it for perusal so that he could get another and hopefully get this task done with soon.

He gave the professor an innocent look and doffed his hat "Wouldn't dream of it, Miss Professor Ma'am!" The mischievous glint in his eyes still showed though and he moved towards one of the cauldrons and sniffed it as it sat with one of the students cleaning it. "Awful smelling" he said shaking his head. Peevsie could be good, right?

For now!

Points have been put in for anyone who has been participating to this point. If you did not receive points you have only posted in and have not actually participated in the activity thus far, and will only earn points once you have.
